It's Cornelia's Birthday, but What's Your Excuse?

As you can see, this is a very blurry picture. When people found out about cake in the kitchen, they moved at the speed of light....probably the most exercise they've had all week. There was a near riot as they forked over the box, fighting for the last slice. (OK, OK, I admit it I had the 2nd to last slice!!! It's carrot cake, so I said to myself...self, this counts as two servings under the fruit & veggies section of the pyramid (Check out www.mypyramid.gov to see for yourself!) We ate the cake so quick, by the time a cameraman went to shoot video, we were already disgesting the sweet treat.

And apparently, everyone didn't get the memo about the health & fitness competition. This week along, people brought in taffy, toffee, and an array of homemade maple products from Canada...candy, fudge, chocolate....Come on people! It's called Get in Shape not Get in Sweets. I feel easy to peer pressure.....

So, I send out this challenge to my GIS: Get in Shape fellow participants...
Want to go to boot camp with me in the morning????

About Get In Shape

Do you want to lose weight, eat right, and feel better inside and out? If so, tune into GIS: Get in Shape! The new health and fitness series debuts on GIS Spotlight, starting in October 2009.

For three months, Host Heather Hopson, along with nearly a dozen coworkers, will team up with the Health Services Authority. HSA staff will teach participants how to not only shed pounds, but keep the weight off. They’ll also show them how diets don’t work, but meal planning and label reading never fails.
